6 Swans at Raveningham Sculpture Trail 2024

Selected for the Sculpture Trail “Mythos – The Stories we Tell Ourselves”, Meg is creating an installation inspired by the Grimms’ fairy tale The Six Swans.


A child sits up a tree making shirts out of nettles to rescue her six brothers who have been turned into swans by their wicked stepmother. She runs out of time and the last shirt has only one sleeve. A boy with one wing, six silk shirts, six nettle shirts, a boy transforming into a swan, all connected by a thread of nettle more than 1000 inches long.

Trail opens on July 17th till September 8th. Every Weds to Sunday 10 – 5. Book on line or turn up. £8 per person over 18. Under 18 free.
